Allied Universal in Ankeny, IA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Inspection to protect a technology-focused site. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, monitor access, and deliver courteous, professional service to employees and visitors.

The role offers flexible Day/Evening shifts with pay at $18.80 per hour, plus training and opportunities for growth through our Perks Program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles, 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; assist with visitor management and deliveries.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally; document observations.
• Complete activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs clearly.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials in accordance with site procedures; assist with visitor management, deliveries, and employee access needs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site protocols.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unauthorized access and policy violations.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
