Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer – On Call in Davenport, IA to provide reliable, flexible coverage with anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to report hazards and security concerns.
• Monitor access to the location and verify visitor/contractor authorization with site procedures; maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed.
• Help maintain a professional presence to deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents.

As a Security Officer - On Call in Davenport, IA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.80 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 04:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Thur: 04:00 AM - 08:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Help maintain a professional presence that supports a welcoming environment while helping to deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
