Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Incidents in Kahului, HI to safeguard shoppers, tenants, and staff at a retail location. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service within a welcoming environment.

The role requires 2+ years in security, with unarmed duties and calm incident response. This is a full-time position with a daytime-to-nighttime schedule and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• State/municipal security license preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and staff by following site procedures and emergency response if needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of retail common areas, parking lots, and perimeters to deter incidents and identify security concerns.
• Respond to incidents calmly, document findings, and coordinate with management or emergency services as required.
• Monitor access points and report maintenance issues, hazards, and policy violations to site management or Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate clearly with supervisors and retail personnel.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, parking lots, loading areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within assigned areas, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations to site management or Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with supervisors, retail personnel, and/or law enforcement as directed.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
