Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigations required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while following site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter areas to deter theft and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual conditions; report concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed to appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation per Allied Universal and client requirements.

What You'll Do

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter areas, to help deter theft and other unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, then report concerns according to site‑specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
