Job summary

Allied Universal in Springfield, MO is hiring a part-time Security Officer to protect facilities and people. The role offers an evening schedule (Thu–Sun, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) and a pay rate of $16.21 per hour.

You will provide customer service to clients, visitors and personnel while following site policies and safety procedures. Responsibilities include monitoring access, performing patrols of grounds and parking areas, responding to incidents calmly, and logging activity.

Qualifications

• A valid driver''s license is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screening required.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.

Pay Rate: $16.21 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur – 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat – 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun – 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, conditions, and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports.
• Observe utility infrastructure and surrounding property for conditions that may require attention, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
