Allied Universal is seeking a part-time security officer in Austin to provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and contractors. You will patrol campus areas, respond to incidents, monitor access points, and prepare detailed reports following site procedures.

Applicants should have at least one year of security experience, comfort with computers, and a high school diploma. CPR/First Aid is preferred, and background checks and drug screening will be conducted as required by

Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sat: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
• Sun: 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate campus personnel or emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general information, and report unauthorized access or policy concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, patrol observations, and security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Have customer service experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
