Job summary

Allied Universal in Costa Mesa, CA, is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Driver Homes to protect residents at a residential apartment community. You will patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, monitor access points, and provide responsive customer service to residents and staff.

This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license and at least 6 months of security experience; CPR/First Aid is preferred. Pay is $21.00 per hour with a rotating schedule and opportunities for growth within Allied

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Homes in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving patrol officer at a residential apartment community, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activity with outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, amenity spaces, and/or visitor activity while communicating with residents, guests, and property management regarding security-related issues and site procedures.
• Support property rules and community standards by reporting maintenance concerns, unsecured doors, lighting issues, and/or other unusual conditions to the appropriate contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
