Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard - Patrol Driver in Waterloo, IA. You will safeguard clients across industries, perform unarmed patrols, and drive within assigned areas while maintaining a high level of customer service and clear communication.

The position is full-time, with a schedule including night shifts. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds are preferred; background checks and drug screening apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, production spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and communicate observed hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.

As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Security Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, drive throughout assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and report observations. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-oriented culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity at Allied Universal.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
