Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Patrol Driver) in Irvine, CA. You will provide security and customer service, patrol designated areas, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents. A valid driver’s license is required to operate patrol vehicles and respond to events.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors and tenants. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail and mall common areas, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report suspicious behavior, property concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining professional communication with site management and local responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
