Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, shoppers, and staff by following security procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of retail areas, storefronts, parking areas, and walkways to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with appropriate personnel or emergency services.
• Observe and report suspicious activity and hazards to site management.
• Complete activity logs and incident reports as required.

As a driving Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, residents, and staff. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, shoppers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, walkways, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, property concerns, access issues, and hazards to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation in accordance with site‑specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
