Job summary

Allied Universal in Irvine, CA is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer Retail Patrol Driver to protect retail and mall locations. You will patrol with a visible presence, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service.

A valid driver’s license is required, and the schedule is Day Time with shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM on multiple days. The role offers pay at $21.50 per hour, with the chance to pick up additional shifts via our Claim a Shift platform and grow within a dynamic,

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, tenants, and retail patrons while carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail areas, parking, and surrounding perimeters to deter incidents.
• Respond to alarms and incidents calmly, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, property concerns, and maintenance issues to designated personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with site requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, tenants, and retail patrons by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of neighborhood retail areas, common spaces, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious behavior, property concerns, and maintenance-related issues to designated personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs. is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
