Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer to provide unarmed patrol and customer service at a healthcare location in Indianapolis, IN. You will monitor and deter incidents, manage access control, and report in a professional, caring manner.

Qualifications

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a healthcare and pharmaceutical location by following site-specific security-related procedures and access requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, laboratories, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and facility concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Support emergency response activities in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal protocols.
