Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Alarm Console in Piscataway, NJ. This full-time, unarmed patrol position involves monitoring, responding to alarms, and supporting access control at a premier retail location.

Shifts are afternoons, Monday through Sunday, with a focus on customer service and safety. Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 (21 for armed roles), and possess basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver\'s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exterior perimeter, and other designated spaces.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by monitoring for unusual conditions, reporting observations, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
• Document incidents, patrol findings, and security-related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Alarm Console in Piscataway, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and team members, and respond to alarms and other security-related concerns.
