Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in Chantilly, VA. You will patrol, monitor access, and maintain a visible presence to deter security incidents while delivering excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

This full-time role requires 18+ (21+ for armed positions), a high school diploma, and a background check. You’ll work daytime shifts and earn $15.12 per hour along with benefits.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, delivery disruptions, and critical situations calmly and notify appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution facility, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and vehicle entry areas, verify authorized access, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
• Observe and report unusual conditions or security concerns to site leadership or supervision.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, delivery disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution facility, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and vehicle entry areas, verify authorized access, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged perimeter controls, and other security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
