Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for an access control patrol in Chantilly, VA. You will safeguard clients, monitor entry points, and document security activities while delivering professional customer service.

This role offers a flexible schedule with a pay rate of $15.12 per hour and the chance to build shifts using our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check conducted as per laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by following security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor access, verify credentials, and maintain entry/incident documentation.

• Assist with traffic flow and vehicle access while maintaining professional communication.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.12 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, access points, trailer yards, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and driver credentials as required, and maintain accurate entry, exit, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Assist with traffic flow and vehicle access at delivery and distribution operations while providing professional communication and customer service.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.li>
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
