Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted per federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal may consider applicants with criminal histories per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and regs; may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities location with site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, parking areas, and access points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity per site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly; notify site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security concerns.

As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and report observations promptly. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working collaboratively with site personnel. Pay Rate: $17.30 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sat 06:30 PM - 06:30 AM
• Sun 06:30 PM - 06:30 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a utilities location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, parking areas, and access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
