Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Tablet Logs in Canton, MA to safeguard clients across a tech-focused site. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide outstanding customer service using tablet tools to document incidents and visits.

The role involves day-to-day security procedures, reporting, and a commitment to creating a welcoming, safe environment for employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused business location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, unsecured areas, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Support a professional workplace environment by communicating clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations and operational concerns.
