Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation conducted in accordance with laws.

• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a transportation-related location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and vendors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to site needs while demonstrating integrity, reliability, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including dock areas, vessel access points, repair facilities, and surrounding transportation operations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, following site procedures for personnel, contractors, deliveries, and authorized vehicles.
• Document observations, incidents, and unusual activity in accordance with site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
