Allied Universal in Sunnyvale, TX is seeking a Part Time Security Officer with X-ray credential experience. You will patrol retail locations, monitor access points, and provide a welcoming, safe environment for visitors and staff.

The role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to earn through our Claim a Shift platform. Applicants will undergo background checks and a drug screen as required by law.

Qualifications

• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by following site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout the retail location to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points and observe activity; report incidents and violations.
• Respond to incidents calmly and contact appropriate personnel when needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs and reports with professional presence.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for visitors and staff. You will communicate professionally, report observations, and respond to security-related concerns while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to retail location visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions; report incidents, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders when needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
