Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for X-Ray Screening Patrol in Sunnyvale, TX. You will provide customer service, monitor premises, and support access control while maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

The role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to explore new shifts via our Claim a Shift platform. Prior customer service and comfort with using a computer or tablet are preferred; X-ray screening and loss prevention experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Loss prevention experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles; HS diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, common areas, stockrooms, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and other policy violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
