Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Sunnyvale, TX. You will patrol retail areas, control access, and assist with loss prevention while delivering excellent customer service. Roles include day and night shifts with a rotating schedule.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and a background check; candidates with badge/access control and loss prevention experience are preferred. Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and assist with loss prevention activities. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and team members, and use technology to document observations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and common areas, entrances, loading areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, property concerns, and policy violations according to established procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
