Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services provider, seeks a Part-Time Security Officer in Sunnyvale, TX. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access, assist visitors, and respond to incidents to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, stockrooms, loading areas, parking locations, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and site inquiries, and report unauthorized entry or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
