You will work a split schedule with daytime shifts and the option to explore new roles via our Claim a Shift platform. Allied Universal emphasizes teamwork, integrity, and community safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, stock areas, and perimeter spaces.
• Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual conditions; report concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and notify appropriate personnel or authorities.
• Prepare clear reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security observations.

As an Unarmed Security Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and loss prevention efforts. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and team members, and use technology to document activity. Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, stock areas, and perimeter spaces, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
