Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Tablet Patrol Security Officer in Chesapeake, VA. You will provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors, conduct regular patrols, monitor access points, and document incidents to deter security-related issues.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of interiors, exteriors, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, maintaining logs and reporting incidents.
• Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, and emergency responders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, tenant, and contractor activity while maintaining accurate logs and reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, and emergency responders while documenting incidents and completing required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
