Job summary

Allied Universal in Cheyney, PA seeks a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer (Tablet Reporting). You will patrol campus areas, assist students and staff, and log observations using a tablet. Pay is $17.95 per hour with a DayTime schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report observed concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control procedures, and campus event support in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents, hazards, and maintenance-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Job Schedule: DayTime Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Thu 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
