Allied Universal in Reading, PA is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Security Rounds to safeguard clients across industries. This role offers flexible scheduling, including overnight shifts, with pay rate $14.50 per hour.

You will perform patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents in accordance with site policies. Minimum six months security experience and customer service background are preferred, with a HS diploma required.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Security Rounds in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour

Qualifications

• Security Experience (C112) – Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of relevant security experience. This experience should demonstrate the ability to handle security-related tasks and responsibilities effectively.


• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204) – Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes familiarity with basic software applications, internet navigation, and the ability to learn new technologies as required by the job.


• Customer Service Experience (B219) – Candidates must possess prior customer service experience. This experience should reflect the ability to interact positively with customers, resolve issues, and provide assistance in a professional manner.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.


• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor entry requirements, and document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in accordance with site procedures.


• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns, operational changes, and incident follow-up.

Minimum Requirements

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.


• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
