Job summary

Allied Universal in Jeffersonville, IN is seeking a Part Time Security Officer Unarmed Roving Patrol. You will monitor facilities, deter incidents, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors.

As a PT role, you can build a flexible schedule and access our Shift-claim platform to pick up additional hours. Minimum 18 years old, HS diploma, and pass background checks and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted per federal, state and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees and visitors while patrolling the site.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking, and access points.
• Verify credentials and monitor access controls at site points.
• Respond to alarms, incidents and emergencies in a calm, solution-focused manner.
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports accurately per site procedures.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with employees and visitors. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, access points, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and reporting access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete required patrol logs, incident reports, and shift communications accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
