Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time, Unarmed) in Sherman, TX. You will patrol manufacturing and industrial locations, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors.

Responsibilities include monitoring access, responding to alarms, and maintaining logs. Minimum one year of security experience is preferred, with licensing where required. Schedule: Tue/Wed 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, rate $18.75/hour.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking lots, and perimeters to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain logs.
• Report maintenance concerns and security issues to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Wed 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and/or emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry procedures, and maintain accurate activity logs.
• Report maintenance concerns, access-control issues, and other observed conditions to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
