Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer for a part-time position in Cofield, NC. You will patrol a manufacturing location, deter incidents, and foster a welcoming environment using customer service and responsive communication.

The schedule includes Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM and Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM at an industrial site. You’ll document activities with tablet tools and coordinate with the site team to ensure safety and security.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen are part of employment.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $13.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production-adjacent areas, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and reporting access-control concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required incident documentation.
• Observe and report potential hazards, equipment damage, suspicious activity, and policy violations while maintaining awareness of changing industrial conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
