Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Azusa, CA. You will patrol, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors while documenting observations using site technology.

The role offers flexible day shifts on weekends with pay at $19.00 per hour. A guard card or license is preferred, along with basic computer or tablet proficiency and a high school diploma.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, maintain logs, and report observations to site contacts and leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, maintain accurate logs, and report security-related observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
