Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Days Part-Time in Mesa, AZ to protect clients across Tech/Media/Telecom environments and more. You’ll provide customer service, deter incidents, and operate within site procedures to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

You’ll perform patrols, monitor access points, and respond to alarms calmly while communicating with site leadership and contacts. This role offers flexible weekend shifts and a path to growth within a leading security services

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Criminal histories considered in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas to identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and patrol findings and communicate with leadership.

Pay Rate: $20.10 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity in accordance with site requirements, reporting unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and patrol findings accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
