Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for the Richmond, VA area. You will patrol a technology-focused location, deter incidents with a visible presence, and provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

You’ll monitor access, respond to incidents, and maintain detailed logs. Typical shifts and duties emphasize safety, compliance, and collaboration with site personnel, with a focus on flexible scheduling and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site policy and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and document events per site procedures.
• Prepare clear activity logs and incident reports for supervision and site contacts.

You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and collaborate with site personnel. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading zones, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and delivery operations; verify credentials and follow site procedures for reporting access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
