Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer at a technology-focused Seattle location. You will monitor and deter security incidents, assist employees and visitors, and maintain a visible presence to support a safe, welcoming environment.

Key duties include conducting patrols, controlling access, responding to incidents and emergencies, and documenting activities in our reporting system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Licensing requirements may be needed per state/local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories consistent with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and deter security incidents while providing customer service to employees, visitors, contractors and vendors at a technology-focused corporate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking, perimeters and other assigned zones.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials, and direct guests to appropriate destinations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and emergencies calmly and coordinate with site contacts and responders as needed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations and security-related activities according to site procedures.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $26.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with credential verification and directing guests to appropriate destinations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as required.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
