Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Seattle, WA. This role offers flexible hours and reliable shifts at a designated site with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will carry out security procedures, monitor access, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors. Prior security or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by employment policy.
• Age requirement: 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed).
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, providing directions and assistance as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time - Coverage Officer in Seattle, WA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.05 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 02:00 PM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of commercial property interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, providing directions and assistance as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
