Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for a technology site in Seattle, WA. This part-time role involves patrolling, access control, and delivering excellent customer service at a technology-focused office location.

You will monitor entrances, respond to incidents, and complete detailed shift reports while maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents and support a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen as per law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused office location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the office, common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to identify hazards and report concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report access-related concerns to site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow escalation procedures.
• Complete detailed activity and incident reports and handoffs to leadership and site contacts.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $28.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM
• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused office location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the office, common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and documentation procedures.
• Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoffs, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
