Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Dispatch to serve and safeguard clients across campus settings. This role offers a flexible schedule and the chance to work with our Claim a Shift platform to explore new roles while delivering high‑quality customer service.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will monitor assigned areas, deter incidents, maintain logs, support students and staff, and respond to security concerns.

Formación

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established campus protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, check credentials as required, and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns through established reporting channels.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while providing clear directions and assistance to members of the campus community and visitors.
