Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Security Officer Educational Building Part Time Patrol Presence. You will serve and safeguard campus communities, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents and support a welcoming environment.

This role emphasizes customer service, patrols of buildings and grounds, access control, incident response, and professional reporting. The position offers flexible part-time hours and opportunities to learn our shift-claim platform.

Formación

• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required under federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is needed for driving positions only.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, grounds, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with campus procedures, providing directions and assistance as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and security-related concerns through clear and timely reports.

Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
