Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Patrol Checkpoint Validation) to monitor campuses, deter incidents, and provide friendly service to students, staff, and visitors. The role is unarmed with flexible scheduling and a chance to make an immediate impact on campus safety.

You will perform patrols, monitor access points, document observations, and respond to incidents by following established procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screening may be required where permitted by law.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and campus concerns calmly and professionally following protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management per site requirements.
• Document observations and incidents accurately and communicate information to appropriate personnel.

Pay Rate: $20.40 - $21.40 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, campus concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, common spaces, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
