Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Systems in Ashburn, VA to provide reliable coverage with fixed anchor shifts. This role offers flexible scheduling and the potential to pick up extra shifts through our platform.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check per policy.
• Drug screen per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and staff by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and entrances.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials as required by site procedures.
• Complete required reports, maintain logs, and communicate concerns to site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Access Systems in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.36 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and communicate access‑related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and promptly communicate facility or security‑related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
