Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Field Support in Ashburn, VA. This role offers flexible, reliable hours and the opportunity to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

The position provides a path to build experience in security services with a base schedule and the chance to scale to up to 40 hours per week. A guard card, CPR certification, and caregiving customer service experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology and media location by carrying out security‑related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and shift activities accurately and communicate relevant information to the oncoming team and site contacts.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Field Support in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.11 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
