Allied Universal in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed for an assigned site. The role offers reliable, fixed anchor shifts with opportunistic extra shifts via the scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $23.36 per hour, with a schedule that includes DayTime Tue 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Fri 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Sat 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Growth and training opportunities are available.

Formación

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology infrastructure location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of data center areas, access points, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and alarm or camera systems as assigned, and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
