• Must be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply before employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to court visitors, employees, and judicial personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned court facilities, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Observe and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, facility hazards, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Assist with maintaining orderly access to designated areas and provide clear directions to visitors while supporting a professional courthouse environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
