Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer for an interior patrol role in Menlo Park, CA. You will monitor and safeguard the healthcare location, provide courteous service, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible presence to deter security issues.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare and laboratory environment.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and or emergency responders.
• Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Pay Rate: $25.16 / Hour

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
