Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Palo Alto, CA. You will deter incidents, monitor areas, and provide courteous service to patients, staff, and visitors in a healthcare setting.

This role emphasizes flexibility, adherence to site policies, and ability to respond calmly to emergencies. A guard card, customer service experience, and HS diploma are preferred; background check and drug screen are required where allowed.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• 18+ years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents, critical situations, and medical emergencies in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

What You’ll Do:
