Job summary

Allied Universal in Kirkland, WA is seeking a part-time unarmed Security Officer (Driver Patrol) to protect tenants and guests at a retail/mall location. You will drive patrols, maintain visibility, and perform security procedures while delivering exceptional customer service.

• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, building perimeters, and other assigned locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site-specific requirements.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
