Allied Universal is seeking a part-time unarmed Security Officer in Tampa, FL. You will monitor assignments, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors at a premier commercial real estate location.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and clients by following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of the building and common areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry per site policies and report concerns to management.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with leadership and emergency responders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the building, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site policies, and report unusual conditions or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, property management, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
