Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Exterior Patrol in Tampa, FL. You will safeguard clients across Logistics & Distribution and related facilities, while leveraging our Shift-claim platform to build a flexible schedule.

The role is part-time with a pay rate of $15.70 per hour and a typical daytime/evening schedule. You will complete routine patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents per site procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• A drug screen may be required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the logistics and distribution location, verify authorized entry as directed, and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.

What You’ll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
