Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Greenville, SC to monitor retail properties, deter incidents, and provide customer service. The role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to earn more through our shift-claim platform.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will patrol, monitor access, report incidents, and communicate with visitors and tenants while maintaining a professional, friendly presence at the site.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed) and background/drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting suspicious conditions to management.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate findings to site management.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
