Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Customer Access in Summerville, SC. You will provide customer service, monitor entrances, and maintain a visible security presence at a logistics and distribution site.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, conducting patrols, verifying authorizations, and documenting activity. A high school diploma and recommended background screening apply; flexible weekend shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background investigations will be conducted as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Maintain daily activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership.

You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortability using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
