Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer in Miami, FL to patrol a premier retail location and deter theft while delivering exceptional customer service. You will monitor access points, respond to incidents, and maintain a visible presence to keep shoppers and staff safe.

The role requires at least 1 year of security experience, a guard card/license preferred, and a background/drug screen in compliance with laws. Hourly pay and flexible shifts are offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, guests, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures and emergency responses as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, stock areas, entrances, and perimeter to identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, employee, and vendor entry procedures per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner and escalate when needed.
• Document and report observations and policy violations per Allied Universal procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, guests, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, stock areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions requiring attention.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, employee, and vendor entry procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Document and report observations, incidents, and policy violations according to Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
